Intro to Shaolin Kung Fu Step-by-Step Training Guide

Here are the suggested first steps you can take to become the best martial artist you can be

Step 1: Kung fu leg stretch

Recommended time to complete course: 1 - 2 weeks

The fist course to do to help you getting started with building flexibility and strength to your legs, which will later help you to achieve fast and powerful kicks.

Step 2: kung fu arm stretch

Recommended time to complete course: 1 - 2 weeks

Flexibility and strength in the arm and shoulder area will enable you to throw more powerful and fast punches, as well as allowing your arms and shoulders coordinate better with our body enabling more fluid bodywork.

step 3: 5 days kung fu workout

Recommended time to complete course: 1 week

Now that you have stretched out your body, your ready to build some fitness foundation to tour kung fu training and everyday lives.

 

Step 4: Shaolin foundation kicks

Recommended time to complete course: 2 - 3 weeks

Now its time to build the foundation and prepare yourself for fast and powerful kicks.

Step 6: Shaolin lian huan quan

Recommended time to complete course: 2 - 3 months

Now you should have built up the necessary foundations to train the first combat application form in Shaolin Kung Fu, known in english as the Chain Fist Form.

Step 5: Shaolin foundation Stances

Recommended time to complete course: 2 - 4 weeks

Stance training is one of the most basic yet the most important foundation training in Shaolin Kung Fu. It looks easy, but it is one of the most difficult trainings to master.

 
 

What if I already have some Training Experience

If you have already been training Shaolin or other styles of kung fu for sometime you do not have to follow the recommended entrance steps to our training courses, you can start with any course you like depending on where you are with your training Journey. However, to get the best training out of our programmes we do recommend the above steps as it is designed to get your kung fu foundations in to good shape no matter what level you at, when you have solid foundations you will find your kung fu practice will go up to another level, this is what Shifu Yan Xin has always advocated, foundation training is always the most important training if you want to be a great kung fu practitioner.
